When asked by Alex Jones of the BBC’s The One Show if there will be a Die Hard 6, Bruce Willis simply replied “yes”. Either Willis has high expectations for A Good Day to Die Hard, which hits theaters this month, or he already knows a sixth film has been greenlit. Even though it’s uncommon for actors to confirm sequels before a movie’s release, it’s possible Fox is planning an entire new Die Hard series starring Jai Courtney as John McClane’s son.
Matt Baker, who has seen the fifth film, let it slip that Willis is seen walking with another known character before the credits of A Good Day to Die Hard. Not only do Baker’s comments suggest the fifth film is left open for a follow-up, but that we could see the return of some other McClane family members, such as Jack or Lucy McClane.
A Good Day to Die Hard opens nationwide on on February 14th.
John McClane travels to Russia to help out his seemingly wayward son, Jack, only to discover that Jack is a CIA operative working to prevent a nuclear-weapons heist, causing the father and son to team up against underworld forces.
